ALL ARE WELCOME IN THIS HOUSE
Vicki & Jared Williams My husband and I joined St.Patrick parish before our twin daughters were born. We loved the family feeling. We knew we wanted our girls to be raised in this wonderful community. We started with Pre-K and truly loved it. Moving on the Kindergarten and getting to know the teachers, the staff, the small classes, we knew we were home. At St.Patrick we truly have a small community that looks out for one another. All the kids from kindergarten to 8th grade know one another. Our girls are 3rd graders now and honestly we couldn't imagine them going any place else. St.Patrick is our home!! Matt & Kristen O’Hara “We chose St. Patrick's because I wanted a school where my boys would BELONG. We visited the school several times before making the decision to switch. Each time, I saw so much more than a school ...more, even, than a community. IN fact, still, every time I enter the building, I feel like I am walking into a family. It is inherent in the staff, the teachers, the parents, the principal, and it is present in the students as well. St. Patrick’s is a family, and that is exactly what I want for my boys every day they go to school.” |
Lisa & Christian Gibbons "We had tried many education choices and we chose St. Patrick 10 years ago because we wanted our son to have an education that also reinforced our family values. We wanted a place that our children would have a well rounded education and be pushed to find their gifts and talents, strengths and challenges. St. Patrick provides a comfortable environment to explore new ideas and be willing to make mistakes while learning from them in a small family setting. The small class sizes gives them an opportunity to learn in a small group setting with lots of individualized attention while holding them accountable to contribute to the group and not get lost in the numbers. This has been an amazing journey of education for our whole family and one that has given our boys the confidence to enter high school ready for the challenge." Jim & Penny Still Our family has been blessed to be a part of the St. Patrick’s School community. The school has small class sizes, exceptional teachers and an inclusive environment for all children including those with special needs. The school molds children to be future leaders through faith, friendship and knowledge |
Terry & Heather Phillips We choose St. Patrick School for our children because we want them spending their time with people who know and care about them. The small class sizes enable the teachers, and staff, to KNOW our children. They are not just a number at St. Pats. And neither are we as parents. The entire staff knows us, personally. Here, our children are cared for as family. |
st. patrick's FAMILY TESTIMONIALS
This year, as we prepare for our 100th anniversary celebration taking place in summer of 2024, we are having monthly, family heritage, potluck style, dinner - Wednesday nights!
Different groups in the church will take turns sponsoring the meals each month. If you want to bring a side dish to share, that would be great! If you simply don't have time, don't worry about it! SHOW UP ANYWAY!
On these family dinner nights, we will come together for a meal, then break off into different activities. Our youth group ages 7th grade thru 12th grade will head to youth group, another group might schedule a meeting, a group might get together to play a card game or have a bible study or just simply have some awesome conversation!
If you want to see it happen - help to make it happen!

St. Patrick's Daily PrayerOh faithful and loving St. Patrick, We pray that:
The wisdom of God guide us, The word of God speak to us, The hand of God protect us. Oh faithful and loving St. Patrick, We pray that: Christ be with us, Christ be with those who think of us, Christ be with those who see us, Christ be with those who hear us. Oh faithful and loving St. Patrick, Pray for us! |
OUR PARISH HISTORY
Saint Patrick Catholic Parish and Church in North Kansas City, Missouri was established July 1, 1924 by Bishop Francis Gillfillen. Reverend William F. Gott served as pastor of this new parish. It included south and east Platte County to the Missouri River. Mass was celebrated at a Knights of Columbus hut in North Kansas City and a Chapel at Deister’s Junction, situated half way between Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri. Lots on Iron Street from 24th to 25th streets were purchased in 1929 and a basement church facing Iron was built. In 1951 a school addition over the church was built. This served as St. Patrick Church for 30 years, until another church/school was built in 1960 on the 42nd Street property.
That newly built school & gym at our present location was used with the gym as our church for thirty-six years.
In 1979 the building that presently houses our parish offices was built as a residence for the priests that served the parish.
On October 28, 1995, we dedicated our new church used solely for the purpose of worship. Then on June 2, 1996, the “gym” remodeling was complete and finally used for its original purpose of parish center/gym. The summer of 2007 St. Patrick School and Early Childhood Center has undergone some extensive upgrades and renovations thanks to the generosity of parishioners and friends. The project includes an elevator to assist young and old alike better access to the church and school.
There can be no greater witness to the presence of Christ in our world that the constant growth of the church. Through these past 81 years, through our humble beginnings in North Kansas City, the people of St. Patrick continues to show their faith, hope and love of God and all mankind.
Today, St. Patrick Parish continues its ethnic diversity while celebrating its oneness in mission. We share a belief in and a fundamental commitment to Jesus Christ and the following of His Gospel. As a people, we are called to share our blessings with one another and the broader community. Today, just as in the past we celebrate God’s presence in our lives through the Eucharist, prayer and service.
Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. Known as the "Apostle of Ireland", he is the primary patron saint of Ireland. He is venerated in the Catholic Church.
