We are so proud of our students who celebrated their First Communion this weekend!

There is nothing in my life that makes me happier than seeing kids proud of themselves. Last night, I saw fifty middle school students perform a musical -- most of which who have never done anything like this in their lives - with smiles on their faces and hearts full of joy! Students who you'd never dream would get up on a stage and perform, students who struggle with self-esteem and self-confidence, and students who are painfully shy got up on that stage and for one night - they were STARS!!! We are so incredibly lucky to have a music teacher who inspires our students, who boosts their confidence, who tells them - YES, YOU CAN! Oh, what a night! We had a VERY special morning celebrating mass with our St. Patrick Dad's, Grandpa's, Uncles, Older Brothers, and other special friends! It was so sweet to see how happy our students were to see their family members join them for mass. We are so grateful to all who came out to spend your morning with us! Over the weekend, our First Communicants spent time in retreat led by Fr. Matthew. It was a special day for our children as they prepare for their First Communion next week! We are so proud of and grateful to our 4th grade students who led our school mass today along with our 5th grade choir! Father Matthew shared a message of how we can manage our fears by remembering that Jesus is always with us. He reminded us that it is STILL the Easter season and challenged us to look for Jesus in our lives!
We are starting a NEW tradition at St. Patrick School! All Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, and Older Brothers are invited to join us for school mass on Wednesday, April 26 @ 9:00am. You'll have the opportunity to sit with your child(ren) during our school mass and spend time worshipping together. School mass typically ends around 9:40am, so you can be back at work by 10:00!
We hope that this new tradition gives you a chance to meet other dads, grandpas, uncles, and brothers at St. Patrick School and that it allows you just a little extra special time with your child(ren)! Don't worry, Moms, we'll have a special mass coming up for you, too! |
