Today, our 2nd and 3rd grade students (with a special 6th grader on piano!) led us in the Stations of the Cross. #studentleaders #lentenseason #stationsofthecross When asked what they love about St. Patrick School, one of our 3rd grade students responded
"The people are really nice!" I couldn't agree more. From the janitorial staff, to our lunch room helpers, to our volunteers, to our teachers and staff, our students are always greeted with a smile, hello, and how are you?? It certainly makes coming to school (or work) every day a much more pleasant experience! #kindnesscounts Yesterday, our 6th grade students did a wonderful job leading our school mass, along with our 4th grade choir! We are so proud of our student leaders who volunteer to serve during our school masses each week! This year, we opened a Pre-Kindergarten class that was created to ease the transition between preschool and Kindergarten. We believed that our students needed a class that prepared them for the day-to-day life of a Kindergarten student, from attending different specials classes, to attending lunch in the cafeteria, to truly becoming a part of the greater school community.
Students in our Pre-K program receive hands-on, engaging lessons that allow them to practice fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and academic skills. Our students receive the perfect balance of creative play, directed play, and structured learning. If you're looking for a program that will prepare your child for the next level, come check out the Pre-K class at St. Patrick School! #prekindergarten #preschool One of our teachers responded to this question with:
"Everyone knows me - not just as a teacher, but as a person!" That's one of my favorite things, too! We celebrate birthdays, births, engagements, and weddings. We pull together in times of celebration and times of grief. We work hard to allow our staff to put their families first and to keep from taking up any of their outside time. Most of all, we strive to make St. Patrick a place where our staff feels valued and supported every single day! It's always so fun when our students serve for the first time at a weekend mass. We are blessed to have Fr. Matthew and wonderful deacons who are patient and helpful in teaching the students "on the job". Shout out to Charlie, Aiden, Ava, Avery, and Bradley for stepping up the past couple of weeks. We are so proud of you! In a recent student survey given to students in grades 3-8, students were asked what they love about our school. One 3rd grade student said:
"The people are really nice and the principal is really kind and there for everyone in the school!" We work really hard to ensure EVERY student in our school is treated with kindness and respect and leaves each day feeling important! There's no better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than at St. Patrick School! Each day, our middle school students serve as our safety patrol. They make sure our students get into their car safely at the end of the day, and we couldn't have such a safe dismissal without them! Yesterday was a rainy, cold mess and these kids braved the weather, put on their ponchos and kept up a safe dismissal for our students. We are so grateful to these kids! |
